New Law Mandates 15% Minimum Tax for Major Luxembourg Companies from 2024

Starting 2024, Luxembourg's biggest companies will be subject to a minimum effective tax rate of 15%, following the passage of a new law in the final parliamentary session of 2023. This law, applying to multinationals with global revenues exceeding €750 million, will affect prominent companies like ArcelorMittal, SES, Amazon, and Ferrero.

This move aligns Luxembourg's tax policy with an EU directive, based on OECD-led global tax reforms, which mandates a minimum tax rate for all EU member states.
